About The Position

This role is responsible for greeting and checking patients in and out of the clinic, both in person and via phone. Key duties include scheduling appointments, handling client payment information, filing, and other front desk tasks. The position also involves maintaining clinical staff schedules, entering and verifying client data, collecting copayments, providing technology support for telehealth appointments, managing a multi-line phone system, registering clients in the electronic medical record, and verifying insurance benefits. The role requires excellent customer service to create a recovery-focused environment for individuals seeking behavioral health and/or co-occurring services. Additionally, the receptionist will prepare and scan documents to HIM and may cross-train to cover duties at neighboring locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and checking patients in and out of clinic, via in-person or on the phone.
  • Scheduling patient appointments.
  • Taking client payment information.
  • Filing and other front desk tasks.
  • Maintaining schedules of clinical staff.
  • Entry and verification of client data.
  • Collecting copayments.
  • Providing technology support for telehealth appointments.
  • Answering multi-line phone.
  • Registration of clients in the electronic medical record.
  • Providing excellent customer service to promote a service environment for individuals in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that is recovery focused.
  • Research and verification of insurance benefits and knowledge to apply for alternative payer sources.
  • Prepare and scan documents to internal HIM.
  • Cross train and perform duties to cover neighboring locations.
