About The Position

This role is responsible for greeting and checking patients in and out of the clinic, managing appointments, handling payments, and performing other front desk duties. The position also involves maintaining clinical staff schedules, entering and verifying client data, providing technology support for telehealth, answering phones, registering clients in the electronic medical record, verifying insurance benefits, preparing and scanning documents, and cross-training to support neighboring locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and checking patients in and out of clinic, via in-person or on the phone.
  • Schedules patient appointments.
  • Takes client payment information.
  • Performs filing and other front desk tasks.
  • Maintains schedules of clinical staff.
  • Entry and verification of client data.
  • Collects copayments.
  • Provides technology support for telehealth appointments.
  • Answers multi-line phone.
  • Registration of clients in the electronic medical record.
  • Provides excellent customer service to promote a service environment for individuals in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that is recovery focused.
  • Research and verification of insurance benefits and knowledge to apply for alternative payer sources.
  • Prepare and scan documents to internal HIM.
  • Cross train and perform duties to cover neighboring locations.
