About The Position

The Medical Front Desk Receptionist at Eye Consultants of Atlanta will be responsible for greeting patients, gathering necessary information, managing payments, and scheduling appointments. This role involves handling multi-line phones, reminding patients of appointments, and maintaining schedule templates. The position requires excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills, along with proficiency in computer and telephone use. Attention to detail is crucial for accurately posting payments and reconciling daily batches.

  • Ability to gather patient demographics, insurance information and enter into NextGen.
  • Ability to scan appropriate documents into EMA.
  • Ability to verify insurance benefits and eligibility.
  • Ability to collect outstanding balances, deductibles, copays due at the time of check in and check out.
  • Ability to schedule patient's follow up appointment.
  • Ability to accurately post payments and provide receipts to patients.
  • Ability to balance individual daily receipts and money collected with daily batch postings and Phreesia reconciliation report.
  • Ability to answer multi-line phones and handle the patient's needs or direct to the appropriate party.
  • Ability to call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
  • Ability to schedule new, follow-up appointments and adjust existing appointments.
  • Ability to respond to voicemails in a timely manner.
  • Ability to maintain schedule templates for multiple doctors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with NextGen EMR/EHR system.
  • Experience with EMA (Electronic Medical Assistant) system.
  • Experience with Phreesia reconciliation.

Responsibilities
