Medical Equipment Service and Delivery Driver
About The Position
The Medical Equipment Service and Delivery Driver drives to and from healthcare locations to complete delivery and equipment management tasks for a district office. The role includes delivering and picking up medical equipment, processing, cleaning, inspecting, and testing equipment, and maintaining inventory. The position is based at the East Rutherford, New Jersey District. The listed shift is Sunday through Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Pay is listed as $22.25 per hour plus a $0.50 shift differential; the stated pay range for all listed locations is $19.11–$29.41. Agiliti serves hospitals, healthcare facilities, and local service centers by helping ensure medical equipment is available for patient care. Employees may be required to obtain certain vaccinations or provide proof of current vaccination status based on customer or company requirements; if vaccination is required, Agiliti provides directions and covers the expense at a participating clinic.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Hold a current, valid, unrestricted driver's license and have a safe driving record under Agiliti policies.
- Have customer service experience.
- Have basic computer skills.
- Be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours as required to support a 24/7 schedule.
- Be able to lift and/or push up to 75 pounds.
- Be able to stand and walk for long periods.
- Be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch or squat, kneel or crawl, sit, and stand for long periods.
Nice To Haves
- Prior work experience in a hospital setting is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Safely load, secure, and deliver medical equipment to customers.
- Retrieve equipment from customer locations and safely transport it back to the office.
- Educate and engage customers at delivery, keeping them informed about equipment features and functionality.
- Complete paperwork and data entry accurately and promptly to support billing, inventory, and regulatory compliance.
- Process, clean, inspect, and test equipment, including maintaining inventory.
