About The Position

As a Medical Equipment Sanitizer at TRIMEDX, you will help ensure medical equipment is clean, safe, and ready for use by healthcare professionals. You will sanitize, bag, transport, and maintain inventory of medical equipment throughout the hospital, while providing customer service to hospital staff. The role supports infection prevention and patient safety in a dynamic healthcare environment, including entering occupied patient rooms to check equipment quantities. The position is located at MUSC Orangeburg, South Carolina, pays $16 per hour, and is full-time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Passion for healthcare and patient safety.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-player attitude.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize and bag medical equipment so it is ready for use.
• Transport equipment throughout the hospital quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain and verify medical equipment inventory levels.
• Provide outstanding customer service and build relationships with hospital staff.
• Navigate different areas of a dynamic hospital environment as needed.
• Enter occupied patient rooms to complete medical equipment quantity checks.
• Help prevent infection and support patient safety.
