About The Position

Northwest Respiratory Services is seeking a Medical Equipment Delivery Driver to serve as a primary point of contact for customers and support their health and quality of life through empathetic, accurate communication. The role involves delivering respiratory equipment to patients’ residences, educating patients on safe equipment use and care, troubleshooting equipment issues, and checking in with patients to ensure their equipment is being used properly and safely. The driver documents patient interactions to support compliance and billing accuracy and builds trust through regular face-to-face interactions. Deliveries are made in a straight truck or van up to 16 feet in length. Routes are local, and employees are home every night. The company serves patients in their homes and in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, as well as veterans receiving care through the VA Hospital.

Requirements

• Current state-issued driver’s license.
• Acceptable criminal background check and motor vehicle record check.
• Pass a mandated drug test, physical capability test, and DOT physical.
• Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry heavy equipment daily, up to 165 pounds.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Desire to work with the public and help others obtain a better quality of life.
• Dedication to caring for customers with compassion, integrity, and care.

Nice To Haves

• Class C CDL Tanker and Hazmat endorsements are preferred; the company can help employees obtain the required endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Make deliveries in a straight truck or van up to 16 feet in length.
• Deliver respiratory equipment to patients’ residences and educate patients on its safe use and care.
• Document patient interactions for compliance and billing accuracy.
• Resolve patient equipment problems as needed.
• Check in with patients to ensure proper and safe use of their equipment.
