The Medical Emergency Dispatcher provides emergency communication reception and dispatching services. This role involves determining the nature and response needed for emergencies, coordinating with various emergency services and officials, and maintaining logs and records. The dispatcher must be able to analyze information in emergency situations, communicate effectively with diverse individuals, and prioritize multiple calls. They will monitor emergency radios, coordinate with military and civilian agencies, and ensure the proper functioning of telecommunication equipment. A key aspect of the role is maintaining accurate electronic and physical logs of all activities, ensuring data integrity for emergency and daily operations. The dispatcher will also operate various communication equipment, including telephones, radios, and the Hospital Code Alarm system, and prepare incident reports and statistical data.
