The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) educates 244 medical students and nearly 300 physician residents annually. It is one of four campuses that make up the nation’s largest public medical school. Under the general supervision of the Business Administrative Associate I for Academic Affairs, The Medical Education Program Specialist- CME assists in the coordination of Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities, having responsibilities with certified AMA PRA Category 1 Credit TM CME sessions conducted by the College of Medicine. The employee will assist faculty with day-to-day operations and delivery of faculty development programs that are cross-departmental and at all levels of physician training. The employee would also coordinate aspects of the 10-month faculty development program with direction from the Chair of the Caterpillar Faculty Scholars program.
