About The Position

WestVet, a MedVet partner, is seeking a strong Medical Director to help lead and shape the future of their Meridian hospital. This position offers a unique blend of leadership and clinical responsibilities, with approximately 50% of time dedicated to serving as Medical Director and 50% dedicated to clinical practice. The Medical Director partners closely with the Hospital Director to lead the healthcare team, serving as the local medical leader, overseeing all specialty and emergency doctors, and fostering a culture that supports engaged and empowered caregivers who embody MedVet's core values of Teamwork, Leadership, and Compassion. The Medical Director partners with the Hospital Director to evaluate, plan, and implement best-in-class healthcare delivery in support of the mission: Leading Specialty Healthcare for Pets. Together, the dyad leadership team provides strategic direction, promotes diversity of thought, and supports both operational and medical excellence.
