Medical Director
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director to lead our Outpatient HIV Primary Care Clinic in Tacoma, WA. This permanent, full-time position involves a mix of clinical, administrative, and shared call responsibilities. The role focuses on providing comprehensive outpatient HIV primary care to adults, with a particular emphasis on the LGBTQ community and individuals living with HIV/AIDS. The Medical Director will manage a daily patient volume of 15-18 patients and collaborate with a supportive team including a Practice Manager, Medical Assistants, and Registered Nurses. The clinic also has a research focus on HIV and LGBTQ Health.
Requirements
- Active California MD/DO License
- Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Adult Gerontology, or Infectious Disease specialty
- Valid DEA License and Furnishing License
- Current CPR/BLS
- Prior outpatient HIV/AIDS diagnosis and treatment experience
- Comfortable seeing 15–18 patients per day

- AAHIVM Certification required within 18 months of hire
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient HIV primary care.
- Diagnose and manage HIV/AIDS and primary care conditions.
- Provide clinical leadership as Medical Director.
- Participate in the shared call schedule.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Deliver compassionate care to underserved populations, including the LGBTQ community.
