About The Position

CareArc is looking for a Medical Director to provide leadership, oversight, and direction for all medical services within the Health Center. This role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care; promotes clinical excellence; supports provider performance; and maintains compliance with federal, state, and HRSA regulations governing FQHC operations. The Medical Director collaborates closely with administrative leadership to advance the organization's mission and improve community health outcomes. Clinical Leadership & Oversight Provide clinical leadership to all medical providers, including physicians, advance practice providers, and clinical support staff. Ensure that clinical practices align with evidence-based guidelines, quality standards, and FQHC requirements. Oversee the development and implementation of clinical policies, workflows, and protocols. Support integrative care models, including behavioral health and care management. Quality Improvement & Compliance Lead quality improvement (QI) and performance improvement initiatives. Monitor clinical performance metrics, UDS measures, and patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with HRSA requirements, state regulations, Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH),or other applicable bodies. Participate in risk management activities and ensure adherence to clinical safety standards. Provider Support & Development Conduct provider onboarding, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Facilitate continuing medical education and staff training to support ongoing professional growth. Promote team-based, collaborative care and foster a positive clinical culture. Lead monthly staff meetings. Patient Care Provide direct patient care in accordance with clinic needs and professional capacity. Model high-quality, compassionate, culturally sensitive care. Support continuity of care, appropriate documentation, and adherence to clinical standards. Operational Collaboration Work closely with the CEO/Executive Leadership to align clinical operations with strategic goals. Collaborate with administrative team on scheduling, staffing, provider productivity, and resource planning. Oversee the recruitment, support, and retention of CareArc clinical staff. Community & Mission Engagement Support the health center's mission to serve underserved populations and promote health equity. Engage in community outreach, partnership development, and health education activities as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Current unrestricted state license to practice in the State of Kansas.
  • Master's degree Required.
  • Board certified in a primary care specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine).
  • Minimum 2 -5 years clinical experience, preferably in an FQHC, community health, or underserved setting.
  • Understanding of FQHC regulatory requirements, quality initiatives, and value-based care models.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and the mission of community health centers.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate Preferred.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
