About The Position

Children of Promise, NYC (CPNYC) envisions a just society that recognizes the purpose and potential of every child impacted by mass incarceration. Our mission is to support and advocate for children of incarcerated parents while speaking out against the root causes that affect the communities we serve—including systemic racism, poverty, and bias within our nation’s criminal justice system. CPNYC has developed an innovative model—the only one of its kind in New York City—that co-locates a licensed therapist at two after-school sites in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, and the South Bronx to provide on-site mental health support. In addition, CPNYC offers an array of youth development programs and services tailored to each child’s strengths and challenges, creating an uplifting environment that builds resilience. CPNYC seeks a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and medical oversight for the organization’s health services under Article 29 regulations. The Medical Director ensures services meet New York State Department of Health requirements, professional standards of care, and CPNYC policies.
