About The Position

The Regional Medical Director, Extended Care is a senior physician leader responsible for the clinical, operational, and strategic performance of an assigned team. The role leads across multiple care teams, provider teams, and interdisciplinary clinical functions to support exceptional patient outcomes within a value-based care model. It translates enterprise strategy into execution while advancing clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and sustained provider performance. Working with medical services and support teams, the Medical Director is accountable for quality outcomes, total cost of care, utilization management, provider engagement, and clinical excellence across multiple teams. The role advances population health strategies, supports provider performance, and ensures regional regulatory and quality compliance. CareMore's model emphasizes population health, proactive care coordination, and high-risk member management, with a focus on outcomes, prevention, and reducing avoidable utilization. This is often a people-leadership role overseeing multiple physician leaders, rather than only individual clinicians.
