About The Position

Tia is seeking a Medical Director (MD/DO) to lead its Williamsburg & SoHo clinics in NYC. This is a 'Player-Coach' role where the Medical Director will spend approximately 95% of their time in direct clinical care, leading by example and using frontline insights to drive team development and continuous improvement. The role involves partnering with operations to mentor the team, champion clinical excellence, and shape a world-class experience for both patients and providers. Tia offers built-in protected time for documentation, care coordination, and team collaboration, including dedicated weekly management time. They also utilize AI-supported documentation to reduce charting burden and offer beautiful, thoughtfully designed clinics in prime locations. This role includes a quarterly bonus and equity, which is not typical in clinical roles, and offers the opportunity to build and shape a new model for women’s healthcare.

Requirements

  • MD/DO; Board Certified in FM, IM, or OB/GYN; Active NY License and DEA.
  • 3+ years in outpatient primary care with a focus on Women’s Health (routine gyn, contraception, STIs), Mental Health, and inclusive, patient-centered care.
  • 1+ years leading clinicians (direct or indirect); proven ability to coach teams, hold staff accountable, and perform peer reviews.
  • Data-driven and adaptable; comfortable collaborating with Operations to balance clinical quality with workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based patient care, setting the clinical standard for the team and acting as a model for Tia’s care philosophy.
  • Own clinical outcomes and documentation consistency within the clinic, ensuring the team delivers care that is both high-touch and high-quality.
  • Act as the clinical point person for complex patient cases or team issues, utilizing sound judgment and professionalism to resolve challenges in real-time.
  • Partner closely with operations to lead and develop a high-performing provider team, driving engagement, accountability, and a shared commitment to excellence.
  • Collaborate on operational workflows to ensure a seamless, "stronger-together" experience for both patients and the clinical staff.
  • Use data-driven insights and patient feedback to identify clinical gaps and implement improvements that elevate the standard of care.
  • Support the onboarding and ongoing mentorship of new providers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
