About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a part-time Medical Director for their Tyler, TX location. Crossroads has been a leader in treating patients with opioid use disorder since 2005, providing accessible, high-quality, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Their approach is designed to combat the opioid epidemic and guide individuals toward recovery. Crossroads operates outpatient, office-based clinics across multiple states, serving over 26,500 patients.

Requirements

MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Texas medical licensure, DEA, and authorization to practice medicine in Texas.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in addiction medicine, preferably with experience treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder.
Board certified in primary specialty in one of the following: Family Practice/Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Practice, Psychiatry.
Valid TX Driver's License.
Experience in an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), substance use disorder (SUD) treatment setting, addiction medicine practice, or similar clinical environment.
Must meet applicable requirements of the Texas Administrative Code governing Narcotic Treatment Programs and Medical Directors.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in outpatient clinic settings.
Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments based on patient assessment.
Complete medical documentation according to Crossroads standards.
Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic patient care, including referrals.
Provide injections if needed.
Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APP).
