About The Position
Plum Creek Animal Medical Center is seeking a Medical Director Veterinarian to lead their established veterinary practice. This role involves overseeing an upcoming hospital remodel and offers a pathway toward ownership through a Partner Track program. The practice is a 25-year AAHA-certified, progressive, fast-paced 3-doctor veterinary hospital with a nearby outpatient clinic, located near Chicago. The position offers flexible scheduling for work-life balance and provides comprehensive care including wellness, illness, urgent care, surgery, dentistry, laser therapy, diagnostics, radiology, ultrasonography, and acupuncture. The Medical Director will guide the vision for the future clinical environment during the hospital remodel and can gain variety through the limited-service outpatient clinic.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
- Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
- Active Veterinary State License
- USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire
- Compassionate, team player and strong communicator
- Proficient in general medicine and surgery

Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee an exciting veterinary hospital remodel
- Practice medicine on their own terms with medical autonomy
- Provide comprehensive veterinary care including wellness, preventive medicine, illness and urgent care, surgery, dentistry, therapeutic laser therapy, in-house diagnostics, digital full-body and dental radiology, ultrasonography, and acupuncture
- Guide the vision for the future clinical environment during the hospital remodel
- Work alongside an experienced veterinary team
- Share medical records and clients across both the main hospital and the outpatient clinic
