About The Position

This is primarily a direct clinical care role focused on the diagnosis and treatment of veterans. The Medical Director will oversee the clinical care provided to veterans enrolled in the clinic, serving as a medical resource for care delivery. Key responsibilities include achieving and maintaining excellent clinical outcomes through chart reviews, direct observation, and adherence to VA guidelines. The role also involves developing and maintaining a positive, collaborative relationship with VA partners and supporting patient enrollment and retention by providing guidance on scheduling and follow-up visits.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Degree (MD/DO)
• Board-certified in family practice or internal medicine
• Active state license and DEA in state of practice
• Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (to be renewed annually)
• Ability to provide clinical leadership
• Maintain a positive clinic culture by displaying an enthusiastic and encouraging demeanor
• Excellent computer skills

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of clinical medical practice in primary care preferred
• VA experience a plus - CPRS/VISTA GUI!
