About The Position

MEDS is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Leader to serve as Medical Director of Emergency Medicine at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, IL. This is an outstanding opportunity for a physician who enjoys clinical practice while helping lead a strong emergency medicine team and building meaningful relationships with hospital administration and staff. The Medical Director role includes protected leadership responsibilities, allowing the physician to continue practicing clinically while leading their department. The department has 24 hours of physician coverage and APP support coverage, utilizes Epic EMR, and benefits from a supportive nursing and hospital leadership team. Strong specialty backup is available, including cardiology, orthopedics, surgery, OB/GYN, and pediatrics. Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical skills and commitment to quality patient care
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Passion for developing teams and improving emergency care delivery
