About The Position
MEDS is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Leader to serve as Medical Director of Emergency Medicine at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, IL. This is an outstanding opportunity for a physician who enjoys clinical practice while helping lead a strong emergency medicine team and building meaningful relationships with hospital administration and staff. The Medical Director role includes protected leadership responsibilities, allowing for continued clinical practice while leading the department. The hospital has 24 hours of physician coverage and APP support coverage, utilizes Epic EMR, and has a supportive nursing and hospital leadership team with strong specialty backup including cardiology, orthopedics, surgery, OB/GYN, and pediatrics. SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Centralia is a community-focused hospital providing comprehensive care to patients throughout the region, including emergency services available 24/7. Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Strong clinical skills and commitment to quality patient care
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Passion for developing teams and improving emergency care delivery
