This position is a partial Medical Director and primary Clinical Physician role, with 10% of hours allotted for leadership duties and 90% of hours dedicated to patient care. The Medical Director will join a team of 2 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers, who are supported by registered nurses, vascular sonographers, and other support staff. Once the new physician is established and would like to add a team member, the practice will hire an advanced practice provider (nurse practitioner or physician assistant) to partner with them. Duties of the role include, but are not limited to: lead and support clinical quality, facilitate provider collaboration, help ensure the practice growth, consultations, follow-up visits, radiofrequency ablation, sclerotherapy, Varithena, and Venaseal. On procedure days, physicians typically perform 3 procedures per hour. On clinic days, physicians see an average of 12 patients per day. The practice sees patients for, among other conditions: venous insufficiency, varicose veins, spider veins, restless leg syndrome, leg swelling, and leg heaviness. The practice uses the DrChrono EHR and state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment. This position begins with a 6-week training program in Dallas, Texas. Training is fully paid and all expenses are covered.
