About The Position

MedSpeed is hiring a full-time Medical Delivery Driver (Logistics Service Representative) in Tallahassee, Florida. The role pays $16.00 per hour and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. It involves long-distance driving within Florida, with most of the workday spent in a company-owned vehicle transporting medical and healthcare-related materials. Routes and duties may vary according to client and business needs, and assignments may change over time. Drivers are expected to work safely and reliably, provide professional service, follow operating procedures and schedules, and contribute to a collaborative team culture. The role requires completion of a criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review as a condition of employment.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Be at least 19 years old and have held an active driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with and ability to adapt to technology.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screening.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent driving history.
• COVID-19 vaccination proof may be required depending on location and local mandates.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, lift items from storage racks, walk long distances, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a company-owned vehicle and transport laboratory specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials.
• Use a handheld scanning device to track items accurately throughout transportation.
• Observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Maintain a professional appearance and interact professionally with clients and the public.
• Load and unload company vehicles using appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean and orderly.
• Perform duties across assigned routes; adapt to route changes and varying client and business needs.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Help build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
