About The Position
Rapid Medical is a tech-forward logistics partner for labs, clinics, and health systems — operating across various states and managing thousands of daily stops that keep healthcare running. This role involves a specific route from Sarasota to St. Petersburg, covering 105 miles, with a set schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The position is offered as an independent contractor (1099).
Requirements
- Personal vehicle (2016+ preferred).
- Valid driver's license.
- Active vehicle insurance.
- Satisfactory driving record (MVR).
- Smartphone (iOS 13+/Android 11+) with reliable data.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
- Must be 21+ years old.
- Satisfactory background check.
- Satisfactory MVR review.
Nice To Haves
- Delivery, rideshare, or courier experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Run stops using the driver app, which includes navigation, scheduling, and real-time support.
- Photograph pickups/deliveries and log proof of delivery through the app.
- Handle specimens carefully and maintain proper temperature (room, refrigerated, or frozen as required).
- Contact dispatch immediately if any items appear damaged, improperly packaged, or incorrect.
