About The Position
Rapid Medical is a tech-forward logistics partner for labs, clinics, and health systems — operating across various states and managing thousands of daily stops that keep healthcare running. This role involves a specific route from Port Charlotte to St. Petersburg, covering 120 miles and operating Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The position is an independent contractor role (1099).
Requirements
- Personal vehicle (2016+ preferred)
- Valid driver's license
- Active vehicle insurance
- Satisfactory driving record (MVR)
- Smartphone (iOS 13+/Android 11+) with reliable data
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
- Must be 21+ years old
- Satisfactory background check and MVR review
Nice To Haves
- Delivery, rideshare, or courier experience
Responsibilities
- Run stops using the driver app, which includes navigation, scheduling, and real-time support.
- Photograph pickups/deliveries and log proof of delivery through the app.
- Handle specimens carefully and maintain proper temperature (room, refrigerated, or frozen as required).
- Contact dispatch immediately if any issues arise with packages or specimens.
