The Compliance Manager has the responsibility to assure that the Company, its officers and management, its employees, its business associates and, to the extent possible, its clients are informed about and adhere to the letter and intent of applicable government law, regulations, policy and procedures. This role oversees the adherence to the Company’s compliance program using the OIG Compliance Program Guidance for Third-Party Medical Billing Companies as a guide, modified to meet the Company’s unique needs. The manager will assist the General Counsel in implementing a compliance committee and lead its meetings. They will establish methods to improve efficiency and quality, and reduce vulnerability to fraud, abuse, waste, and other potential risks. The role involves investigating, reviewing, and responding to compliance-related issues from various sources, including employees, regulatory bodies, health plans, and clients. The manager will review governmental health plan publications, circulate changes, and arrange training. They will periodically revise the compliance program based on changes in company needs and laws/policies. Responsibilities include reviewing employee certifications, developing and coordinating educational and training programs on compliance, and coordinating personnel issues with HR and Provider Enrollment to ensure no employees appear on the Cumulative Sanction Report. The manager will also assist operations managers with internal compliance reviews and monitors, and independently investigate compliance matters, including coordinating internal investigations and corrective actions. Developing policies to encourage reporting of suspected fraud without fear of retaliation is also a key duty.
