About The Position
Downriver Medical Associates is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Medical Biller for its busy internal medicine practice. This full-time, onsite position is part of the billing department. The Medical Biller manages the full-cycle billing process, submits claims accurately and on time, and helps maximize reimbursement for services provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekends. Employees become eligible for PTO and benefits after 90 days. Requirements
- At least 2 years of medical billing experience; experience in internal or primary care is preferred.
- Active Medical Billing Certification, such as CPC, CPB, or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Epic.
- Knowledge of credentialing processes.
- Experience in internal or primary care.
Responsibilities
- Accurately post charges and submit claims to insurance payers in a timely manner.
- Process and transmit billing data to insurance providers.
- Review, track, and resolve denied or rejected claims to support optimal reimbursement.
- Conduct routine audits and reviews of billing processes.
- Support and maintain billing programs and initiatives implemented by the practice.
- Assist with credentialing processes as needed.
