Part Time Medical Assisting Instructor
About The Position
Remington College is seeking a part-time Medical Assisting Instructor for its Mobile Campus. The instructor will teach and evaluate students, develop their skills, encourage their growth, and monitor attendance, performance, and grades. The role reports to the Campus President. Candidates should be dedicated health science clinical professionals with ambulatory patient care experience; teaching experience is preferred. The position includes preparing lesson plans, participating in faculty and staff activities and professional development, and taking part in graduation ceremonies when assigned.
Requirements
- At least three years of practical work experience in a medical environment, with hands-on knowledge of related procedures.
- Certification as an RMA, CMA, or CCMA is required.
- Experience in an ambulatory patient care setting.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience.
- Clinical background as an RN, LPN, or certified medical assistant.
Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans using industry-standard approaches, such as multimedia and adult learning methodology.
- Teach assigned courses, instruct and evaluate students, develop students’ skills, encourage growth, and track attendance, performance, and grades.
- Participate in administrative activities, including faculty/staff and in-service meetings.
- Participate in graduation ceremonies as assigned.
- Participate regularly in continuing professional development activities.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
