About The Position

Baptist Health is looking to add a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care Float Pool in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday opportunity with varying shift schedules based on the needs of the department. The ideal candidate will provide clinical support to physicians by obtaining vital signs, rooming and chaperoning patients, maintaining medical records, scheduling tests and follow-up care, and processing prescriptions and referrals. As part of the Baptist Primary Care Float Pool, the role requires flexibility to work across multiple locations and assist with daily patient-care needs.

Requirements

• 2 Years Patient Care Experience
• Experience in Physician's office
• High School Diploma Required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required

Nice To Haves

• Associate of Arts/Science Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing assistance to physician
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes prescription requests and referrals
