About The Position

Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. You will also assist with treatments ordered by a physician as supervised by a physician or registered nurse, and perform select clinical duties. Your responsibilities will include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patients' charts. You will prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, perform basic clerical duties such as answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing. Additionally, you will perform basic materials management functions including ordering and stocking supplies, and assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
