About The Position
Catholic Health Physician Practices is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support providers, assist with clinical procedures, and help ensure a positive patient experience. The role includes preparing exam rooms, supporting patient visits and clinical procedures, processing specimens, and helping maintain efficient daily operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- BLS for providers from the American Heart Association.
- Strong organizational, communication, and patient service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and cleanliness.
- Review patient schedules, medical records, and preventive care needs.
- Escort patients and document vital signs, medications, allergies, symptoms, and medical history.
- Review test results and report abnormal findings to providers.
- Collect and process lab specimens while maintaining accurate records.
- Perform and assist with EKGs, Holter monitoring, phlebotomy, and other clinical procedures.
- Assist with patient check-in, phone calls, and insurance verification.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain efficient daily operations.
