About The Position

Concentra is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide routine medical care and support a positive patient experience. The role works one-on-one with patients and helps monitor patient onboarding and clinic flow. Medical Assistants also cross-train to perform front-office duties, including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, checking patients in and out, and communicating wait times. Duties may change at any time and are not limited to those listed in the posting.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, training as a medical assistant, or military medical specialist with current credentials in the state of employment.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic clinical office environment.
• Ongoing discretion and secure management of confidential and sensitive information.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) certification is preferred but not required.
• Preference for applicants conversationally fluent in, and able to read and write, both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain their medical histories, and verify patient information.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, take vital signs, and perform required testing.
• Assist during examinations and treatment.
• Perform ancillary testing and tasks as directed by the Center Medical Director and within the employee’s certifications, including PFTs, EKGs, injections, audiograms, and blood draws.
• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Cross-train for front-office duties, including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, checking patients in and out, and communicating wait times.
• Handle patient rooming, drug screens, and other routine medical-care tasks.
