MEDICAL ASSISTANT/FAMILY PRACTICE - FT - M-TH (8-5), F (8-1230)
About The Position
Toledo Clinic's Family Practice office located in Holland Ohio is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. This position requires an MA credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA) or the ability to obtain such credential within 60 days of employment. The hours are Monday-Thursday (8-5) and Friday (8-12:30). Toledo Clinic's Dermatology Department, located on Secor Rd in Toledo, is seeking a full-time Lead Medical Assistant. This position requires an MA certification along with an MA credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA). Previous experience in a Dermatology office along with leadership experience is strongly preferred. The hours are Monday-Thursday (7:00a-4:30p). General Summary Assist providers with patient treatment, prepares patient for providers, and performs various clerical duties. Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.

- Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA).
- Medicare Exclusion List.
- Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school.
- MA credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA) or the ability to obtain such credential within 60 days of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a Dermatology office along with leadership experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
- Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
- Escorting patients to exam room.
- Preparing exam rooms.
- Preparing patient for providers (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
- Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
- At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
- Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
- Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.
- Administering injections.
