About The Position

Toledo Clinic's Family Practice office located on Park Center Ct in Toledo OH is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. This position will work Monday (8:30-5:00), Tuesday (7:30-2:00), Wednesday (8:30-5:00) and Friday (8:30-5:00). The Medical Assistant will assist providers with patient treatment, prepare patients for providers, and perform various clerical duties. This role works under the supervision of the Office Manager.

Requirements

Previous medical assisting experience.
MA diploma/certificate.
MA credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA).
Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire.
Completes all tasks within established time frame.
Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills required.
Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA).
Medicare Exclusion List.
Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school.

Nice To Haves

Clinical medical assisting experience.

Responsibilities

Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
Assist providers with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
Escorting patients to exam room.
Preparing exam rooms.
Preparing patient for providers (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.
Administering injections.
Other duties as assigned.
