About The Position

PartnerCare, an affiliate of Axis Spine and Pain, is seeking a talented and compassionate Medical Assistant to join their exceptional team. The practice focuses on taking care of the patient with a comprehensive plan, delivering high customer service, keeping patients safe and well-informed and reducing patients' pain as much as possible. They are committed to the betterment of their communities by providing comprehensive pain management care led by interventional pain specialists so that patients can live their best functional lives. The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and clinical support under the supervision of a physician or Advanced Practice Provider. This role is an integral part of the clinical care team, responsible for preparing patients for visits, assisting with procedures, documenting clinical information, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. The right person for this role will delight in providing a great experience to the patient, will have a curious mind that always looks for a way to improve, and be compassionate for patients experiencing chronic and/or acute pain. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant program required.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems

Nice To Haves

  • At least two years of experience
  • Experience in pain management or specialty care preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
  • Experience with C-arm fluoroscopy and knowledge of procedures including RFA and SI joint injections preferred.
  • eClinicalWorks experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies needed prior to and during patient examinations.
  • Greet and room patients, taking and documenting vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
  • Assist physicians and providers during examinations and clinical procedures.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed and within scope of practice.
  • Instruct patients and families on treatment procedures and post-visit care instructions.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and compassion.
  • Accurately document patient information, vital signs, and clinical observations in the EMR system.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control standards, and PartnerCare policies.
  • Maintain required clinic logs including medication, safety, and temperature records.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and clinical areas.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up coordination as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, front desk staff, and other team members.
  • Support efficient patient flow and assist with clinic operations as directed.
