About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking an energetic, fast, and friendly Medical Assistant to support care delivery at its clinics. The Medical Assistant assists on-site providers with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge across services including urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. This is a PRN position with a rotating schedule; flexibility is essential, and travel to other clinics may be needed. The position begins at $15 per hour. Pre-employment background checks and drug screenings are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Flexibility to work the PRN rotating schedule.
• Ability to travel to other clinics as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior medical assisting experience or education.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers in caring for patients to support optimal delivery of medical care.
• Triage patients promptly in accordance with clinic procedures.
• Record vital signs, weight, and updates to patient medical histories before visits.
• Perform laboratory tests according to clinical guidelines and provider instructions.
• Manage digital patient records and support transitions from paper records to electronic systems.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and ready for appointments.
• Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
• Position patients for X-rays as directed by providers.
• Help monitor and manage medical inventory when needed.
