About The Position
MainStreet Family Care is seeking an energetic, fast, and friendly Medical Assistant to support patient care at its Bainbridge, Georgia clinic. The Medical Assistant assists on-site providers with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge across the organization’s urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. This is a part-time PRN role with a rotating schedule. Scheduling flexibility is essential, and there may be opportunities to travel to other clinics as needed. The position begins at $15 per hour. Pre-employment background checks and drug screenings are required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Flexibility with scheduling for the rotating PRN schedule.

Responsibilities
- Assist providers in caring for patients to support optimal delivery of medical care.
- Triage patients promptly according to clinic procedures.
- Record vital signs, weight, and updates to patient medical history before each visit.
- Perform laboratory tests in accordance with clinical guidelines and provider instructions.
- Manage digital patient records and support the transition from paper records to electronic systems.
- Prepare examination rooms by ensuring they are clean and ready for appointments.
- Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Position patients for X-rays according to provider directives.
- Help monitor and manage medical inventory as needed.
