About The Position

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant for its Brooksville office. The position assists physicians with medical procedures and is responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance. Travel to clinics is required. Candidates need a valid Florida driver's license. A high school diploma or GED is required, and BLS certification must be held upon hire or obtained within 30 days; FCS will provide a BLS course during that period. Offers are contingent on passing background and drug screenings. New hires must receive required vaccinations, including influenza, unless an exemption is approved.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; documentation must be produced at the time of hire.
• Valid Florida driver's license for travel to clinics.
• BLS certification upon hire or obtained within 30 days of employment; FCS provides a BLS course within the first 30 days.
• Clear background screening and drug testing as conditions of employment.
• Required vaccinations, including influenza, unless an exemption is approved.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician's office.
• Ability to perform venipunctures.
