About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) performs duties and responsibilities related to patient care and administrative support in a team-based environment, helping promote a smooth flow of patients through the office. The MA works under the license of the physician or advanced practice practitioner when carrying out clinical and other patient care responsibilities.

Requirements

• Meet one of these experience or training pathways: graduate from an accredited vocational institution or community college Medical Assisting program and complete 160 hours of clinical experience; complete an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and have 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or have 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting. Equivalent experience is evaluated case by case.
• Current BLS certification is required, or must be obtained within 30 days of the start date.
• For positions located in New Hampshire, an NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license, is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification.
• Relevant experience as a Medical Assistant.
