About The Position

Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion during all interactions. About This Location: Orland Park, IL - 9550 W 167th St - primary location but will travel to Merrionette Park, IL - 11600 S Kedzie Ave on a as needed basis. Merrionette Park is located between the Chicago border (Mt. Greenwood Neighborhood) Alsip and Blue Island. Endocrinology is a busy speciality with 7 physicians, and fellowship program. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of verifiable Medical Assistant experience or a current certified/registered Medical Assistant with 2 years of verifiable Medical Assistant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
  • Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
  • Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
  • Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
  • Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
