This position is responsible for assisting with the high level of injections performed on the nursing schedule, chart prep, rooming, Lpump/cgm uploads, lab/medical requests, and medication prior authorizations, message pools. This position supports 8 attending providers, 5 fellows clinic, and 2 sub specialty clinics. The endocrinology service is currently projected to see approximately 700 patients monthly. This is a full-time position scheduled, Mon- Fri 8-5p, the MA will need alternate to work every other Sat 8- 230p Banner - University Medical Center Tucson is nationally recognized for providing exceptional patient care, teaching future health-care professionals and conducting ground breaking research. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for assisting clinicians and nursing staff in providing medical care, as well as, implementing and evaluating direct patient care. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and skills to provide an excellent patient experience.
