Our team of expert providers and specialists at OB/GYN and Infertility take a thoughtful approach to provide high-quality compassionate care in the areas of Obstetrics, Gynecology, Urogynecology, Infertility and LGBTQ+ care. We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support our Women's Health Center team on Monday- Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The primary location will be in Portsmouth with Thursday's supporting the Dover practice. We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned practices and locations; however, you may also be asked to float to other departments in the WHP system when appropriate and needed during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances for cross-coverage purposes and to ensure adequate coverage and support. The Medical Assistant plays a key role in maintaining efficient patient flow and delivering comprehensive clinical support. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, performing point-of-care testing, documenting patient information, and assisting with procedures. This role requires the ability to manage a broad scope of responsibilities, maintain steady patient flow, and adapt to supporting multiple providers, while demonstrating strong clinical judgment, reliability, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. Job Summary The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.
