About The Position

Perform individualized patient procedures, treatments and tests. Perform a variety of support functions including patient scheduling, registration and check-in, triaging patient telephone calls to appropriate resources, collecting and/or updating demographic and financial information, investigating pre-authorizations and approval for insurance, chart preparation, and maintaining clinic supplies. Provide advanced assistance with medical clinic operations and monitoring of clinic flow for clinical operations outside of King, Pierce, Franklin, Benton and Snohomish counties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Current Medical Assistant – Certified designation by Washington Department of Health (DOH).
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
  • As per the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), for MA's performing moderately complex point of care testing, a copy of a diploma or transcript of the highest level of academic achievement to be on record with Human Resources upon hire.
  • For personnel trained outside of the U.S., records of diploma/transcript must provide documented equivalency evaluation by a foreign credentialing agency.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program.
  • Current National Medical Assistant Association Certification (eligible for premium).
  • Medical Assistant or medical office experience.
  • Current Medical Assistant experience in Pediatrics, Urgent Care experience and/or Medical screening and immunization.
