About The Position
LanguageLine Solutions is seeking dedicated Medical Interpreters to join their growing Onsite Division in Olympia and Centralia, WA, and surrounding areas. This role involves providing accurate, high-quality consecutive interpretation during medical appointments and healthcare interactions to facilitate clear communication between healthcare providers and patients. The interpreter will maintain professionalism, neutrality, and strict confidentiality, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and awareness. This is an independent contractor role, offering flexibility while contributing to meaningful work in healthcare facilities on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and at least one target language (spoken and understood at a professional level).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills.
- Ability to remain impartial, professional, and composed in sensitive situations.
