We are seeking a Medical Assistant for the Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week. The Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center integrates the clinical advancements of a leading cancer center with the extensive resources of North Florida's largest and most preferred health system.

Requirements

Less than 1 year of Medical Training Program
Less than 1 year of Immunization Experience
1-2 years of Administrative Assistant Experience
1-2 years of Medical Office Experience
2 Years of Patient Care Experience
2 Years of Medical Assistant Experience
3-5 years of experience working in a Medical Office
Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
High School Diploma

Responsibilities

Provides assistance to the clinical team including the providers
Obtains vital signs
Greets and chaperones patients during medical visits
Telephone triage
Patient education
Maintains rooms stock and exam room turnover
Maintains medical documentation and patient intake to include preparation of charts
Prepare medical equipment for sterilization
Assists with clinic procedures including preparation of sterile fields
Collects and prepares laboratory specimens
Assists with Staple, suture, drain removal as directed
Prepare sterile field for in office procedures
Manage clinical equipment and supply inventory
Serve as a liaison between physicians and other clinical members
