About The Position

The Medical Assistant prepares and rooms patients for examination by obtaining vital signs and gathering, documenting, and updating pertinent health information, including chief complaints, allergies, and medications. The role monitors and completes Clinical Integration and Quality Improvement measures and notifies clinicians of opportunities within the Medical Assistant’s scope. The Medical Assistant performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection-control precautions, assists physicians and advanced practice professionals with procedures, and administers routine medications under their orders or approved standing orders and protocols.
