About The Position
Medical Assistants (MA's) are assigned to a provider's team to work with patients, from start to finish, and implement our preventive care measures. You are actively involved in the health and wellbeing of our patients. CNY Family Care's commitment to excellence sets us apart and guides us as we provide care for our community. If you have experience in a practice setting that's a plus, but we will train you as well.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN program OR 1 - 3 years experience in a Medical Assistant role in medical office
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
Nice To Haves
- Patient Care Techs (PCT) encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in busy medical office preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Room patients
- Obtain vitals
- Assist with intake process
- Perform ECG's
- Work with the provider to assist during the patient visit
