About The Position

Logan Health's Hematology/Oncology Clinic is looking for a compassionate Registered or Certified Medical Assistant to join their team! As a Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA), you’ll play a key role in supporting oncology providers and nurses to deliver seamless, high-quality care. You will prepare patients for visits and treatments by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and updating records. Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures. Perform specimen collection and point-of-care testing as ordered. Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient, timely visits. Accurately document care in the electronic medical record (EMR). Support scheduling, referrals, and follow-up communication with patients and families. Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and ensure compliance with infection control standards. Provide compassionate, professional communication and education to patients navigating oncology care.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
  • Must already have your RMA or CMA certifications.
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient confidentiality and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in oncology, specialty, or hospital-based clinic setting.
  • Current Health Care Provider CPR preferred or must successfully complete prior to completion of orientation.
