About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed in support of patient care. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs and functions for the assigned clinic and work location. The position requires work in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. The role is with Providence Medical Group South, which describes its culture as patient-focused, whole-person care built on understanding, commitment, and mutual respect. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible rehires and external candidates who meet all payment conditions. Requirements

• Complete coursework and hands-on clinical training through an accredited medical assistant school; or complete a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program; or complete two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces; or have at least one year of medical assistant work experience that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Upon hire, hold National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• At least 6 months of healthcare experience.
• At least 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.

• Upon hire, hold National Medical Assistant Certification.
