About The Position

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), one of the nation’s largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology practices, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Lake Success office. This role involves preparing patients for appointments, assisting providers during examinations and procedures, performing basic lab testing, maintaining medical supplies, and upholding patient confidentiality.

Requirements

• Strong patient service skills with a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification such as CMA or RMA. Alternatively, candidates with any of the following qualifications will be considered: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification, Five (5) years of continuous experience working as a Medical Assistant

Nice To Haves

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Experience with NextGen EMR preferred

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person or by phone; respond to or route inquiries appropriately
• Prepare patients for appointments by directing or accompanying them to exam rooms
• Verify and record patient information, including medical history and reason for visit
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in‑office lab testing
• Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies
• Educate patients on medications and provide instructions as directed
• Accurately document examinations, treatments, and test results
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations
