About The Position

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), one of the nation’s largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology practices, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for their Lake Success office. This role involves welcoming and preparing patients, assisting providers during examinations and procedures, managing laboratory specimens, maintaining sterile instruments and medical supplies, educating patients on medications, and accurately documenting all patient interactions and test results. The Medical Assistant is also responsible for upholding patient confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations. ENTA is a large and comprehensive practice with over 475 clinicians across more than 70 clinical locations in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas, offering a wide range of specialized services. Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification such as CMA or RMA
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
  • Five (5) years of continuous experience working as a Medical Assistant

  • Previous Medical Assistant experience
  • Experience with NextGen EMR

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients in person or by phone; respond to or route inquiries appropriately
  • Prepare patients for appointments by directing or accompanying them to exam rooms
  • Verify and record patient information, including medical history and reason for visit
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures
  • Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in‑office lab testing
  • Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies
  • Educate patients on medications and provide instructions as directed
  • Accurately document examinations, treatments, and test results
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations
