About The Position

The Medical Assistant works at Blue Mountain Urology, a fast-paced clinic specializing in advanced urology care and in-office procedures. The team includes two urology surgeons and a nurse practitioner and provides personalized, high-quality care in a welcoming environment. Under provider supervision, the Medical Assistant assists with patient assessments and treatments, performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection, monitors and communicates changes in patient condition, and documents care. The role also includes maintaining examination areas, equipment, and supplies, as well as assigned administrative and clerical tasks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

• Previous medical office experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of a provider.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and collect specimens.
• Monitor patients and communicate changes in their condition.
• Document patient care provided.
• Maintain examination areas.
• Maintain medical equipment and supplies, including stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Perform assigned administrative or clerical duties, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Complete other tasks within the scope of the position as delegated by practice leads, supervisors, managers, or the Market Director.
